Session Abstract (150 words): 

Hart’s ladder of participation (1992) illustrates the varying levels at which youth can be engaged in a project or process. This poster will provide an overview of Hart's ladder and related theories of youth participation and engagement. In addition, Hart's ladder will be used as a framework for describing a variety of different methods, both traditional and innovative, for engaging youth in evaluation activities. The audience will be able to identify the right level and method of youth participation for different evaluation contexts and link the method to applicable theory and research.

For Evaluation 2019, international attendees and presenters who encounter complications due to the international travel environment will have up to 30 days after the event to request a refund and submit appropriate documentation. No administrative fee will apply for approved international requests.
