Session Abstract (150 words):

Every evaluator dreams that her work will make a difference and lead to action! To do this, our job as evaluators must go beyond simply producing a high-quality evaluation. We must help our clients understand how to process and apply the evidence we have generated, to effectively influence decision-making and action. At QED, we have developed a Learning Architecture which provides a multitude of tools or ‘building blocks’ that create a structure for learning, within which organizations can translate evidence into a blueprint for action.

During this demonstration session, presenters will introduce the Learning Architecture concept and its individual building blocks, in a game format. After this introduction, participants (in small groups) will have an opportunity to play the game and apply our problem-solving techniques by designing a blueprint to move from gathering and processing evidence to using evidence for action within their ‘organization’ through a variety of scenarios.
