Session Abstract (150 words):
The Twin Cities is a hot spot for projects in which young people are actively engaged in and leading evaluation and research projects. Some are true Participatory Action Research in which a group coalesces around a topic of their choosing, conducts primary and secondary research, analyzes and makes meaning of the data, and use the results to effect a change. Others—perhaps most—use aspects of PAR, e.g., train and engage young people as data collectors without having them do the analysis and/or the social change aspect of true PAR.
In this session, people (including those who are young and those who are less young) that are passionate about YPAR related work, will discover and learn from others who are doing this work, and co-design a strategy to continue learning and growing. Join us as we feed our souls and our minds!
