Session Abstract (150 words):
USAID's YouthPower Learning project has included the implementation of five youth assessments in various countries including Liberia, Honduras, Ethiopia, Zambia and Kyrgyzstan. For all of these assessments, youth researchers have been trained as peer group facilitators, note-takers, and data analysts. Some of the topics we include in this training are: focus group facilitation, team roles and responsibilities, researcher conduct, researcher ethics, and confidentiality. In this gathering we'd like to exchange lessons learned on what worked, what didn't, and hear from others about how they train youth researchers. As an outcome we would like to share a list of do's, dont's, and helpful resources with attendees.
