Session Abstract (150 words): 

We will discuss a formative, decision-oriented evaluation conducted at an academic medical institution to assess the levels of burnout and grit among the faculty, medical trainee, and staff population. This session will have three main objectives. First, we will provide a brief project summary, including how the internal evaluation team was formed and how we implemented the evaluation process. Next, we will describe the process for organizing and analyzing the magnitude of data in meaningful ways for various levels of stakeholders from executive leadership to academic and clinical staff. Finally, we will discuss how the data were disseminated to stakeholders for the purposes of planning future wellness interventions. We will also discuss some of the barriers the evaluation team encountered, lessons learned from the process, and this cross-sectional study led to the development of a longitudinal quality improvement project.
