Session Abstract (150 words):
Flexible work environments are desired by many employees, and advances in technology such as video conferencing and collaborative software programs now allow for increased possibilities of working remotely across a wide range of industries, including evaluation. Our four-person internal evaluation team includes members located in three different states. For this discussion session, we invite other individuals who perform evaluation work remotely and those who are considering working remotely or hiring remote employees to join us as we share the challenges faced and effective strategies we have developed as a team with remote evaluators. Topics could include developing communication systems, ensuring accountability, coordinating travel, opportunities for job advancement, and fostering a sense of community despite remote working conditions. Together, we will learn from the experiences of others and share best practices to shape the future of remote evaluation work.

Cancellation Policy: Refunds less a $50 fee will be granted for requests received in writing prior to 11:59 PM EDT October 8, 2018. Email cancellation requests to firstname.lastname@example.org. All refunds are processed after the meeting. After October 8, 2018 all sales are final. For Evaluation 2018, international attendees and presenters who encounter complications due to the international travel environment will have up to 30 days after the event to request a refund and submit appropriate documentation. No administrative fee will apply for the international requests.
