Session Abstract (150 words):  This workshop will offer practical tools that culturally-responsive evaluators can use to identify and navigate issues of power and privilege in order to promote diversity, equity and inclusion in settings that may not be receptive or attuned to those values. The presenters will frame the timeliness of this issue, drawing from over 30 years of experience conducting evaluations with diverse communities in a variety of sociopolitical contexts. They will describe how their consulting firm has evolved beyond addressing diversity to integrating practices that incorporate equity and inclusion in their work. Presenters will also share tools for navigating issues of power and privilege and guide participants through application of the tools through interactive activities. Participants will learn how to foster individual and organizational reflection around issues of power and privilege, and how to identify and address power dynamics among diverse stakeholders, clients, and teams.
