Session Abstract (150 words):

Foundation for Louisiana (FFL) is leading the implementation of the Truth, Racial Healing & Transformation (TRHT) framework in Louisiana aims to transform the way racial equity is perceived and addressed in Louisiana by shifting the narrative about race, building trust and relationships through racial healing practices, and supporting strategic programs to address racial equity in the areas of separation, law and economy. This presentation will highlight the process of developing a collaborative evaluation plan with local advisory groups, challenges, successes, and ways to apply transformative perspective to ensure that our evaluation design, approach, and implementation uses an equity lens. We will explore how we ensure evaluation is informed by the lived experiences of real people, the community is engaged as authentic partners, and processes through which evaluation aims to strengthen the FFL TRHT team and foster and sustain trust among organizations and communities.
