Session Abstract (150 words): 

It is no secret that monitoring and evaluation can be two scary words for program staff who await an internal evaluation.  “Will I get in trouble?”  “Who is evaluating me?”  “What does this have to do with my Department?”  Therefore, overcoming fear and mystery about monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) is a great first step.  In this session, we present an interactive game using the storybook ZOOM (Banyai, 1995), as a training method to take the mystery and fear out of the MEL process.  For Southwest Key Programs, this has been a fun and friendly tool to engage staff in internal evaluation.  This session will be useful for program evaluation audiences, especially internal evaluators, who need creative ideas to increase buy-in among program staff.  This interactive exercise can easily be adapted to teach other evaluation concepts, such as data collection, analysis, and feedback loops.

All refunds are processed after the meeting. After October 8, 2018 all sales are final. For Evaluation 2018, international attendees and presenters who encounter complications due to the international travel environment will have up to 30 days after the event to request a refund and submit appropriate documentation. No administrative fee will apply for the international requests.
