Session Abstract (150 words): 

The goal of this session is to open the floor to evaluators who are engaging youth in evaluation work and to create a space for them to share their work, their learning, and exchange ideas with youth and adult allies. Building on case examples from youth evaluation teams, participants will utilize a peer-to-peer exchange and small group discussion approach to respond to young people’s input and to share their own perspectives on the same issues , drawing on their own experiences and past evaluation work. We will use a World Café approach to create a collaborative, peer-learning environment. From the strategies and ideas generated during the session, we aim to generate a brief document/statement collectively with practical advice to evaluators who want to engage young people in evaluation. This resource will be made publicly available through the YFE-TIG website as well as other evaluation-related networks.

Cancellation Policy: Refunds less a $50 fee will be granted for requests received in writing prior to 11:59 PM EDT October 16, 2017. Email cancellation requests to registration@eval.org. Fax request to (202) 367-2173. All refunds are processed after the meeting. After October 16, 2017 all sales are final. For Evaluation 2017, international attendees and presenters who encounter complications due to the international travel environment will have up to 30 days after the event to request a refund and submit appropriate documentation. No administrative fee will apply for the international requests. The $50 fee will be waived for registrants who planned to travel into the US and experienced international travel issues.
