Session Abstract (150 words):

Our proposed skill-building workshop consists of a set of interactive activities based on the Positive Youth Development Measurement Toolkit- http://www.youthpower.org/positive-youth-development-toolkit  developed by YouthPower Learning. The workshop will provide participants with an opportunity to learn about and apply a PYD framework in their youth programming, evaluation, or research. It will also be an interactive session with participants working on an actual theory of change using a PYD framework and also identifying appropriate PYD indicators that can be applied to their youth-related programs across multiple sectors.

This skill-building workshop will provide insights and practical knowledge for participants on:

  • Framing a program and its theory of change based on a PYD Framework
  • Identifying PYD indicators that are appropriate for different types and contexts of youth programs
  • Providing appropriate tools for measuring PYD outcomes and other resources
  • Applying best practices for measuring PYD and adapting PYD tools in various contexts
