Session Abstract (150 words):

In an inter-connected world where funding is scarce and social problems cross sectoral and national borders, organizations need to work together to deliver lasting solutions. Partnerships are one of the central strategies to deliver on the Sustainable Development Goals (Goal 17). But what does good partnering look like, and how can we evaluate, not just the results of partnering, but partnerships themselves? This panel brings together multilateral, private sector and philanthropic leaders with innovative experiences and ideas in the field of partnerships and evaluation. Through presentations and conversation, they will share their unique perspective; frame and challenge current thinking; and present emerging frameworks to map and assess partnerships. In doing so, the panel aims to share knowledge and stimulate discussion on how to use evaluation to enhance ‘relationships for results’. Presentations will be followed by an open discussion, guided by the chair and open to insights from the audience.
