Session Abstract (150 words): 

Some evaluators have familiarity with needs assessment but even smaller numbers have been involved in asset/capacity building efforts with yet a tinier group having done combinations of the 2.  Published literature examples of the latter are more like traditional research articles as opposed to focusing on implementation especially regarding what to do with and how to deal with frame the reams of data generated for decision-making. Translating what has been learned into practices that guide advisory/action committees to plan for improvement is critical. This skill building workshop includes 1) an overview of a hybrid framework for doing both activities at the same time, 2) examination of an exemplar that employed many methods, 3) small group hands-on brainstorming of what might be done with obtained data, and 4) reviewing and discussing some possible tables that could be used. Time will be allotted for questions and comments during the session.

For Evaluation 2017, international attendees and presenters who encounter complications due to the international travel environment will have up to 30 days after the event to request a refund and submit appropriate documentation. No administrative fee will apply for the international requests. The $50 fee will be waived for registrants who planned to travel into the US and experienced international travel issues.
