Session Abstract:

The Annie E. Casey Foundation uses a Foundation-wide performance management (PM) system to operationalize and track unit-level performance measures in support of the Foundation’s philanthropic objectives.  This session will share the Foundation’s PM Protocol – a critical tool in the implementation of the PM system – and encourage participants to engage with the protocol, using the Results-Based Accountability (RBA) framework.  The PM Protocol consists of six action areas; each action area includes a set of steps to implement the area, with useful resources.  The PM Protocol helps Casey staff to manage their performance to improve results in their portfolios. The session will explore the PM Protocol as a tool to help operationalize performance measurement and management.
