As data visualization gained increasing attention in the field of evaluation, our evaluation firm recognized the need to move away from chart defaults, never-ending tables and text-heavy PowerPoints… but change is hard! This presentation shares our strategies for building an organizational culture supportive of high-quality data visualization and reporting techniques and getting an organization to change its ways (consistently). We will share successes and challenges we faced along the way as well as tools we developed to facilitate the change process.
