Session Abstract:

Evaluations of large projects often lead to long evaluation reports that are likely to go unread by many team members. As evaluators we need to be creative and consider how to make information useful for our partners. Assessing multiple project elements may have us waiting until the end of a quarter to submit a report, but why not provide that feedback right away? If we are providing a formative assessment for ongoing projects, making those findings available immediately, in an easy to read format, can often be most useful. Through memos, briefs and fact sheets we can translate results into readable documents that can be used for planning. We do not need to report on everything we collect, instead we need to provide information that can be easily integrated and incorporated for our partners. As the evaluator it is our job to make information accessible and understandable.
