What TLDR Means for Your Evaluation Reports
Session Number: 1121
Track: Data Visualization and Reporting
Session Type: Skill-Building Workshop
Session Facilitator: Stephanie Evergreen [Evergreen Evaluation & Data]
Time: Nov 13, 2015 (03:30 PM - 04:15 PM)
Room: Columbus KL
Audience Level: Beginner
Even with the push to become ever concise and report our findings in tweets, full evaluation reports are still a necessary piece of project documentation. We can make them more engaging by adding smart data visualizations but those graphs cannot carry all of the weight. Consideration must be given to the report itself – its structure, its navigation, its flow – if we are truly going to meet readers where they are with our data and our findings. In this session, Stephanie Evergreen will teach report reconstruction, including several ways to modify and enhance reporting elements so that readers stay engaged, move through your report faster, and leave with accurate understanding. Your audience will never look at your report and think “TLDR” again.
